Marriage License

Keith and I headed to Asheville, NC today to get our marriage license. We were very excited to say the least. Even the lady at the courthouse when we walked in knew right away that we were not there for court, but for our marriage license! I guess the people who show up for court usually aren't smiling, huh?? And who knew that we would have to raise our right hand and swear under oath?!? After heading out, we stopped at a local coffee shop in downtown Asheville for some pick-me-up then off to meet our wedding planner, Gwenn. We spent a couple of hours with her making sure that we had all the details together for the ceremony: who is sitting where, who is giving the toast, who is giving the welcoming, etc. I think even Gwenn can tell that I am stressed!! Afterwards, we had lunch then headed home. It was indeed a quick trip to Asheville, but a very successful one - thank goodness we live close and can make a down/back trip. We now have our marriage license - WOW!!

So, we are about 3 weeks away and we still have a ton of things to do. Maybe we can convince Piper, Marley, Sambuca, and Dori to help with the party favors, seating charts, name cards, yatta yatta.....wishful thinking, huh?? We will get everything done and it will indeed be a perfect day...the next time we go to Asheville will be for the wedding. We can't wait to see all of you and we especially can't wait for all of you to share in celebrating our special day. We stopped on the way home and took a few pictures, enjoy! For those of you that don't know, those are the Asheville Mountains in the background, BEAUTIFUL!! Now, back to wedding stuff....
